Anybody have a good free MP3 editing software they use?
The best one I’ve found which allows you to split and save files is MP3DirectCut.
It has a histogram type graphical view that allows you to preview and split sections.

Painless Bug Tracking

Painless Bug Tracking

Inevitably, talking to Gretchen as a new employee, I share my experience with my favorite bug-tracking software, FogBugz (not free, but reasonable).

The author of FogBugz, Joel Spolsky, is one of my favorite bloggers and his essays are extremely relevant, informative and entertaining.

One of his hallmark posts is titled Painless Bug Tracking and is highly recommended.

Actually there isn’t a single essay that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy and learn something from so I recommend checking out his archive of essays.

Good Work use of RSS

Good Work use of RSS

I am new to databases.  I have a lot of catching up to do.  But my immediate need is to learn how to use SQL Server 2000 CE Edition.  To that end, as I am perusing the MSDN site, I am coming across various resource sites and various people within Microsoft that offer up information. Both sources are available through RSS so I am subscribing to these resources in my newsreader.  I’ll now get the latest information from those sites without having to visit them.

Installing Blogging software

Installing Blogging software

I think weblogs are an invaluable communication tool that development teams in particular but any company team would benefit from.  Not something you can necessarily convince someone of by talking to them.  Like blogging in general, you have to experience it to understand the benefits of weblogs.

I’m going to see if it can work here at work.

I’ve been told that anything PHP based running on Apache would be easy to install so I’m going to search the web and find free blogging software that meets that criteria
